Tornadoes missed us
February 3, 2007 Very early yesterday morning, a rather freak set of conditions resulted in an area a little northeast of us being struck by several tornadoes. At least a dozen people were killed, and many homes and other buildings were completely destroyed (full story from the St Pete Times). The Times has also posted a slide show of images showing the aftermath.
To all of those who've been calling to see how we're doing, thank you for your concern. We were quite fortunate; there was nothing more than some heavy rain in our location.
